B Corp Certification means that a company has been verified as meeting B Lab™’s high standards for social and environmental impact. B Corps are independently assessed, and B Lab have analysed Brora’s impact on our customers, the environment, society, and of course, our team. We have always been quality centric, focusing on details and timeless style, using craftspeople and artisans who are experts in their field, taking time and care to make clothing that will last a lifetime. We are also proud that all our clothing is designed here in the UK.

We prioritise the use of ethically sourced natural fibres such as Scottish cashmere, organic cotton, wool and linen, and we keep the use of man-made fibres to an absolute minimum. Using and wearing natural fibres has a host of benefits to both our customers and the environment, including being breathable, durable and biodegradable.

Giving back to our community is a key part of Brora’s ethos. We have raised money for many national and local charities, including Save the Children, The Conservation Collective, Marie Curie and many more, by collaborating with Brora fans such as Joanna Lumley, Emma Thompson and Helena Bonham-Carter.

Community goes beyond our charitable activities and includes the various talented artisans and suppliers who expertly craft Brora clothes & knitwear, ensuring that they operate responsibly and ethically.

We know that fashion is a carbon intense industry, and so we work hard to reduce our impact on the environment. We are proudly carbon neutral since 2020 and are continually looking at ways to reduce our carbon footprint. You can find out more about the projects we invest in here.

In 2023, Brora became an Employee Ownership Trust, meaning Brora employees own the majority share of the business, with the rest remaining with the Founder, Victoria Stapleton, and her family.
